Rocker??

I’ve always thought that it was super interesting when people try to define you: define your style and even your way of being and behaving. It seems like to organize everything by compartments, giving titles to personalities, ways of dressing and event tastes in order to get a better understanding of things and people. 

A few months ago I was at a meeting and the girl told me: «my assistant calls you the rocker blogger.» That comment definitely got stuck in my mind because I though it was curious – and even funny – that someone would define me as «rocker», when it has never even crossed my mind to define myself that way. I’ve always thought that I have an eclectic style… just to put a title to not having a defined style (lol).

This look made me think of that comment because I could maybe see where it’s coming from. Dressing in black most of the times, my clothes being a bit ripped and unkempt, my hair being a bit messy… could be perceived as «rocker»… but at the same time, the shirt has embroidered flowers, I have red velvet shoes on… 
I prefer to stay with the definition of eclectic, because I never want to be typecasted into a style. I want to have the freedom of dressing how I feel at the moment, with the clothes and trends that I like without having to think if I’m steering away from my style or «compartment.»

Me parece súper interesante cuando la gente trata de definirte: definir tu estilo o hasta tu manera de ser. Pareciera que nos organizaramos como por compartimientos, poniéndole títulos a las personalidades, a las maneras de vestir y hasta a los gustos para entender mejor las cosas y a las personas. 
Hace unos meses fui a una reunión en una tienda y la persona con la que me reuní me dijo: «Mi asistente te llama la bloggera rockera.» Ese comentario se me quedó grabado en la mente porque me pareció curioso – y cómico – que alguien me definiera como «rockera» cuando a mi nisiquiera se me había pasado por la cabeza definirme de esa manera. Siempre he pensado que tengo un estilo ecléctico… como para ponerle un titulo a no tener un estilo definido (jajaja). 
Este look me hizo pensar en ese comentario porque capaz podría entender de donde viene. El vestirme a veces de negro, la ropa medio desaliñada, los pantalones rotos, el pelo un poco desordenado… se podría percibir como «rockero»… pero al mismo tiempo la camisa tiene un bordadode flores, los zapatos son de terciopelo…  
Yo prefiero quedarme con la definición de ecléctico, porque no quiero nunca encasillarme con un estilo. Quiero tener la libertad de vestirme como me sienta en el momento, con la moda y las tendencias que me gusten sin pensar en si me estoy saliendo de mi estilo o «compartimiento».
