When we are young all we ever want to do is grow up. We see it as something really cool, where we can have all the liberty to do whatever we want. But what no one tells you is that, even though you do have the liberty to do what you want (or what you know is right), you still have to follow certain rules and, most importantly, you have a responsibility to yourself and to others.
Within that responsibility is making a living and working… and I’m not gonna get to deep into the details but you have to work all the time!! And, unfortunately, you don’t get to travel that often anymore. So, when an opportunity to take a weekend trip with your closest friends comes along, you just take it!!
We went on a weekend road trip to Naples, Fl. – which is about two hours away from Miami – for one of my best friend’s birthday. We rented a house on Airbnb that was equipped with everything you can possibly imagine (beach and pool toys, outside wood fire, movies, bbq, etc…) and we just stayed in there for the entire weekend. We spent all Saturday by the pool playing water volleyball, and then we had an amazing BBQ. Later that night we watched movies and chilled… it was the relaxed weekend we all needed.
On Sunday afternoon, after we checked out of the house, we went for a stroll down the beautiful peer of Naples Beach. We then headed back to Miami to start a fresh new week.

Cuando eres pequeño todo lo que quieres hacer es crecer. Lo vemos como algo súper cool donde podemos tener toda la libertad para hacer lo que queramos hacer. Pero lo que no te dicen es que, aunque si tienes la libertad para hacer lo que quieres (o lo que sabes que esta bien), igual tienes que seguir ciertas reglas y, aún más importante, tienes una responsabilidad contigo y con los demás.
Dentro de esta responsabilidad está el trabajar y ganarte la vida… no me voy a meter muy hondo en este tema y los detalles, pero tienes que trabajar todo el tiempo!! Y, lamentablemente no puedes viajar o hacer actividades cheveres tan seguido. Así que cuando te llega la oportunidad de irte a una viaje por un fin de semana con tus mejores amigos, no dices que no!
Nos fuimos en carro a Naples, Fl. – que queda como a dos horas de Miami – para el cumpleaños de una de mis mejores amigas. Alquilamos una casita en Airbnb que estaba equipada con todo lo que te podrías imaginar (juguetes de playa, de piscina, fogata, parrilla, películas, etc…) y pasamos el fin de semana completo metidos ahí. Pasamos todo el sábado en la piscina jugando volleyball, hicimos una parrilla espectacular y después vimos películas… fue el fin de semana relajado que todos necesitábamos.
El domingo en la tarde, después de entregar la casa, fuimos a pasear por el muelle de la playa de Naples, que me encantó. Después de eso nos regresamos a Miami para comenzar una nueva semana.
