Yes, I’m going to say it again and again, Winter is my favorite time of the year. It’s funny to think that I was born in a tropical weather country when I’m totally a cold weather type of person. Or maybe I’m a cold weather type of person because I was born in a tropical weather country… I don’t know.
The point is that I can’t wait for this time of the year to come around to pull out all of my favorite sweaters, jackets, booties, etc. Being around your house in a comfortable sweater, drinking a hot cup of coffee or tea while reading a book or working… there’s something really romantic about cold weather that makes me get more creative and inspired.
Having said that, the weather here has been kind of messing with us; We had a really cold and fresh couple of days about three weeks ago, then it got kind of humid, then this weekend was really cold and nice and then we’re back to it being humid and stuffy again.
Since this past weekend was finally cold, I got to wear my favorite leather jacket from All Saints. I paired it with these really amazing high waisted jeans by My True Joy, a white top from Nordstrom and my Jeffrey Campbell booties. My favorite part of the outfit though, were the accessories. I’ve been stacking these three chokers together non stop for the past month and a half. I can’t get enough of how cute this looks. One of the chokers is honestly just a black suede string, the crystal was a gift (I know… I hate that I don’t know where it’s from) and the aluminium choker is from Las Letras Rojas (It says «And Everybody Said»… for which you respond «Amen»).

Si, lo voy a decir una y otra vez, el invierno es mi época favorita del año. Es cómico pensar que nací en un lugar de clima tropical cuando soy una persona que ama el clima frío. O tal vez amo el clima frío porque nací en un país de clima tropical… no lo sé.
El punto es que no puedo esperar a que éste momento del año llegue para poder sacar todos mis suéteres, chaquetas, botas, etc. Estar en tu casa con un suéter cómodo, tomando una taza caliente de café o té mientras lees un libro o trabajas… le encuentro algo muy romántico al clima frío que hace que me inspire y me ponga más creativa.
Habiendo dicho eso, el clima acá ha estado jugando con nosotros un poco. Tuvimos unos días frescos hace como tres semanas, luego se puso húmedo. Este fin de semana estuvo súper frío y ahora otra vez estamos con humedad y calor.
Aprovechando a que este fin de semana hizo frío, utilicé mi chaqueta de cuero favorita de All Saints. La combiné con estos jeans tan espectaculares de My True Joy, un top blanco de Nordstrom y mis boticas de Jeffrey Campbell. Pero mi parte favorita del outfit fueron los accesorios. He estado usando estos tres chokers o gargantillas juntos cada vez que puedo durante el último mes, mes y medio. No supero lo espectacular que se ven juntos. Una de las gargantillas es honestamente una cinta de gamuza negra, el cristal fue un regalo (lo sé… me molesta no saber de donde es) y la gargantilla de aluminio es de Las Letras Rojas (dice «And Everybody Said» (Y todo el mundo dijo)… a lo que uno responde «Amén»)
